VIDEO: “That’s a big mistake,” says Wilcox of Democrats’ refusal to hold public hearings on six initiatives

At the end of the fourth week of the 2024 legislative session, 2nd District Rep. J.T. Wilcox weighs in on the six initiatives that will be on the ballot in November and also a discusses a bill he’s sponsored to eliminate the Fish and Wildlife Commission. Wilcox says the Commission has failed to live up to its mission to “maximize fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreational opportunities compatible with healthy and diverse fish and wildlife populations.” House Bill 2434 would transfer all of its existing powers and duties to a single director of the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
