Week 7 Review with House Republican Leader J.T. Wilcox
In his week 7 review, House Republican Leader J.T. Wilcox discusses the majority’s supplemental budget proposals, which will be voted on soon. Earlier this week, Wilcox and Senate Republican Leader John Braun sent out a statement on the proposals that reads, in part:
“We’re stunned at the continuing inability or unwillingness of the Democratic majorities to listen to the people and take to heart the financial pain people are in daily. Neither of the operating budget proposals gives any real, meaningful tax relief to middle-income Washingtonians, while their transportation packages pile on with fees and the new fuel tax. Instead, Democrats pay lip service to the needs of people trying to recover from unemployment and other losses. Washingtonians deserve better.” Read the full statement here.
