Rep. J.T. Wilcox on KVI Radio: New police reform laws make Washington state less safe
House Republican Leader Rep. J.T. Wilcox says Washington citizens and law enforcement officers are less safe due to new police reform laws that restrict the ability of officers to safely fight crime. Wilcox, R-Yelm, told Ari Hoffman on KVI some of the measures disarmed the police and took away important tools used by law enforcement to de-escalate situations. Wilcox is hoping the Legislature will reconsider some of those measures in the 2022 session. He adds House Republicans are ready to provide solutions.
