Republicans address proposed cybersecurity office, returning kids to school


Leaders from the Senate and House Republican caucuses joined media to discuss a proposed office of cybersecurity requested by Gov. Jay Inslee after the personal information of 1.4 million state residents was exposed during a state audit of the Employment Security Department. Legislators also answered questions about insurance reform legislation, vaccine distribution, commission appointments and reopening the state from pandemic restrictions, including getting kids back to school. Attending the press conference were Sens. John Braun, Ann Rivers and Lynda Wilson and Reps. J.T. Wilcox, Gina Mosbrucker and Michelle Caldier.
