Statement from House Republican Leader J.T. Wilcox on the passage of Senate Concurrent Resolution 8402 today
House Republican Leader J.T. Wilcox released the following statement on the passage of Senate Concurrent Resolution 8402 today:
“My ten years in the Legislature have taught me the importance of the three constitutional branches of government. In my time, I have never seen such a substantial surrender of the legislative role than I have with the passage of Senate Concurrent Resolution 8402 today. House Republicans agreed with a lot of the policy, but the unlimited surrender of legislative authority is just wrong. I was glad to see Republicans in both chambers unite against this measure. And it was nice to see a few members of the majority party stand with us.”
