Alexander, Wilcox to host telephone town hall this Thursday

Less than a week after their physical town hall meetings throughout the Second District, Reps. Gary Alexander and J.T. Wilcox will host a telephone town hall with constituents. Thursday, March 21, residents of the Second District, which includes Eatonville, Orting, Graham, Rainier, Yelm and parts of Lacey and Olympia, are invited to call and ask questions of their representatives.

“There are a lot of decisions being made in Olympia that will have an impact on residents throughout the Second District,” said Alexander, R-Olympia. “It's important that residents have the opportunity to speak with their elected officials and express their ideas and opinions. I'm looking forward to a lively and productive dialogue with our constituents.”

To join the community conservation, people can call toll-free 877-229-8493, then enter pin number 17544. The hour-long call will begin at 6:30 p.m. and works much like a radio call-in show where callers can ask questions of the representatives live. There will also be an opportunity to answer poll questions.

“This is a great format to reach out to more of our constituents and hear from them,” said Wilcox, R-Yelm. “I have had great success with these calls in the past, and I look forward to Gary joining me.”

No RSVP is required to join the call. The 105-day legislative session is scheduled to adjourn April 28.
