“Town hall meetings provide a great opportunity to communicate directly with the people of the 2nd district, update them about what is happening in Olympia,” said Becker, R-Eatonville. “I look forward to coming home and speaking to my constituents about the issues that are important to them.”

All town halls are open to the public, and no RSVP is necessary.

“We are dealing with some very important decisions in Olympia,” said McCune, R-Graham. “Meeting with our constituents in person is very valuable to guide us in our decisions as we work through the legislative session.”

The legislators said their focus during the town halls will be to listen more than talk.

“It’s important for the people we represent to have a voice in their government, which is why we have town hall meetings,” said Wilcox, R-Yelm. “I’m looking forward to hearing their questions and finding out what is on their minds.”
